Here’s a great opportunity for some lucky members of the Punny Money reading audience. We’ve been contacted by the producers of The Dr. Keith Ablow Show who are seeking couples to appear on an upcoming episode which will talk about how money affects relationships and marriages.

So if you’re married or in a relationship and you might have some thoughts to share regarding the effects finances can have on that relationship, please get in touch with me right away! You can also comment here, even anonymously if you wish; but be sure to fill out the e-mail field so I can get in touch with you (your e-mail will not be publicly displayed).
Once I hear from you, I’ll send you the information you need to get in touch with the show’s producers, and they’ll handle things from there. Just be sure to let them know that Nick from Punny Money sent you so they don’t think you’re some random weirdo.
If being on TV might be your thing, then I hope you’ll jump on this opportunity. Please hurry though because they’ll need to hear from you as soon as possible.

Hi all.
I am an avid reader of finance blogs - thanks for the info!
But, I also have my own blog on recovery from eating disorders. I am writing to say be very careful of the producers at Dr. Ablow - they’re asking for your stories, but they will spin them in such a way as to get the most intrigue, drama and conflict as possible.
They contacted me about getting my readers to tell their stories about their eating disorders. Two of my readers did a show, and they each had a very bad, very dishonest experience on the show. Dr. Ablow flat out lied about them on-air to make it a more interesting show. He barely let them speak on the show - he just showed cut and edited pre-show taped interviews to make my readers look more crazy and hopeless than they really are.
You can read about it directly here: http://onbulimia.blogs.com/journeys/2006/08/results_of_the_.html
If you want to do the show for a unique experience, fine. But, be prepared for them to spin your story in whatever way they think will be the most interesting to get viewers and ratings. I wouldn’t want to play with my relationship and my financial situation like that.
Best of luck to you all.
