It can take some people (*cough*me*cough*) that long just to read the submissions and select the best ones, though other hosts can probably do so in half the time or less! Whether it takes an hour or a hundred hours to put a carnival together, I just hope that every host takes away something from the experience other than aching wrists from typing too much.
