The Best Strategies for Using Work Vacation Days, Part 2

In each post of this series, I’ll share another bit of advice that will help you better plan and enjoy your time off.
- Save some for the end of the year. Don’t exhaust your supply of vacation days before the holiday season or you may find yourself with just one day off while everyone else is gone for a week or more. Save a few days for the last week or two of December, though be sure to discuss your plans with your boss first especially if your vacation days expire if they go unused.
On the other hand, there are those who love working during the holiday time because it gets so quiet and empty at work. I’ve been doing that for the last couple of years and find I can really get a lot of work done when I’m the only one on the entire floor.
