Join Punny Money on Saturday, July 29, 2006 for its next blog marathon! In conjunction with Blogathon 2006, I and hundreds of other bloggers will be taking part in a 24-hour marathon of writing to benefit charity.

You may recall Punny Money’s last blog marathon back in May which raised $38.12 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This time, I’ll be blogging at least once every half hour starting at 9am EDT on Saturday, July 29th.

Like last time, I’ll be donating all blog-related revenue earned during the marathon period to charity. For this blog marathon, Punny Money will be supporting First Book, a non-profit organization designed to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books.

If you’d like to help support the Second Punny Money Blog Marathon, you can do so by sponsoring Punny Money’s blog marathon efforts. Simply pledge any amount (either a lump sum or an amount per marathon hour), and once the marathon concludes you’ll receive an e-mail directing you to First Book’s website so you can submit your pledged donation directly to the charity. And if you send me an e-mail after you pledge, I’ll add you (and a link to your website, if you have one) to the list of sponsors you see on the sidebar. Oh, and if you live in the United States, your donations to First Book in support of the blog marathon are tax deductible! Hurry, the blog marathon is in just a few weeks, so please make your pledges as soon as possible!

If you’re not able to make a pledge, then please still come out and visit the Punny Money Blog Marathon–and all the other fine blog marathons–on July 29th to show your support. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to stock up on caffeine and sweets to help me get through those 24 hours of non-stop blogging.
