Realkly useful article. I'd just been thinking yesterday which kind of feed I should have of my blog but now the answer seems so obvious.

I find that as a reader I often click through to blogs which publish their full stories by rss to look at their blogrolls and to generally check out what the rest of the site looks like.

I try to compromise by giving out a decent chunk of the post for longer posts, and the whole post for shorter posts. I'm actually polling my blog readers about this right now, and surprisingly more people like my feed the way it is vs. full feeds (out of those that actually know what RSS is and who care). This may also be due to the longer excerpts, as opposed to the 10 word sentences some blogs have.

I'll add that e-mailing Adsense does nothing. Zip. Nada. They don't care, they don't want to get into the middle, whatever. I have at least 3 blogs just recycling my content as I type, and they're nothing I can do.

although I forgot to note, I think a lot of people decide to go w/ partial feed because they don't want spam blogs stealing their contents.

same shoe here. I prefer to have full feeds. the main reason why I provide the full feed is also because I'd much rather readers read the post via a feed reader than from the crappy blog layout (it's just too freaking ugly).

Thank you for writing about this! I thought I was all alone in hating partial feeds and I, too, rarely click out of an partial feed to see the whole thing. Let us know how your challenge goes.
