open 24 hours

From 6pm EDT this Thursday, May 11th, through the same time on Friday, Punny Money will be hosting its first 24-Hour Blog Marathon. As the name suggests, I’ll be updating this site continuously for 24 straight hours with all sorts of personal finance news and tips. At a minimum, I expect to average one post per hour; but I’m hoping to far exceed that number.

So be sure to join me starting this Thursday evening as I attempt to stave off sleep and bring you the finest in around-the-clock internet programming. At the very least, you can laugh at me if my Hour 16 posts start looking like this:

Foo! Maka laka woo cookie chicken chicken chicken. Something something, postcard flippy pocky globglob chumba honana. Personal finana sasasasa!!!

Frequently Asked Questions About the Punny Money 24-Hour Blog Marathon

WTF indeed. Don’t ask me what has possessed me to do something as crazy as this. All I know is that I have the day off on Friday; but instead of using it to catch up on my knitting and pottery, I’ll be investing my time in helping to make the world a better place.

Wouldn’t your time be better used to help feed the homeless or teach a child how to read?
Wow, I feel like garbage now. Thanks a lot…

Hahaha, just kidding. But seriously, shouldn’t you do something like donate your blog revenue from the marathon to a worthy cause?
That’s a fantastic idea! I’m glad I thought of it! (Ahem, I thought of it.)

All advertising, referral, and other revenue earned by Punny Money during the 24-hour marathon period will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

It’s been a little over two years since my own mom died of breast cancer, so I can’t think of a worthier cause as we approach Mother’s Day this weekend.

What can I do to help?
If you’d like to support the marathon, simply visit Punny Money throughout the day, read and enjoy the articles, and feel free to join in with comments of your own. You can also send in suggestions for discussion topics right now. If I pick your topic, I’ll be sure to link back to you.
